Strategic Study of CAE 2016, Volume 18, Issue 1, Pages 8-16 doi: 10.15302/J-SSCAE-2016.01.002
As the largest terrestrial ecosystem in China, grassland plays a strategic role in ensuring the ecological and food security and carrying forward the grassland culture of China. This paper analyzes the current situation, development trend and major influence factors of the resources, ecological functions and productivity of the grassland in China and discusses the current and future challenges, opportunities and potential of China's grassland ecological security and productivity as well as the development of grassland husbandry. Based on the analysis, the author further makes suggestions on the strategic goals and focuses, key measures and major policies for the ecological and food security of China's grassland.

Strategic Study of CAE 2017, Volume 19, Issue 3, Pages 53-60 doi: 10.15302/J-SSCAE-2017.03.008
China is going through an important historical stage as it transforms from a large country with manufacturing industry into a global manufacturing power. With the guidance of green development concept, China must explore strategic issues on advancing the coordinated development between manufacturing industry and ecological environment, for the harmonious coexistence between industrial civilization and ecological civilization. Green manufacturing is a critical focus in the construction of manufacturing power and in the transformation of production modes. Moreover, green manufacturing is an important part of green development. Green manufacturing contains low carbon development and circulation development. This paper elaborates on the scientific implications, targets and evaluation system of green manufacturing, on the basis of clarifying the relationship between green manufacturing and ecological civilization. The authors then put forward the strategic direction and major projects for green manufacturing, based on the achievements and difficulties of the current development. Policy implications are provided from the aspects of top-level design, team construction, innovation system, service platform, system and mechanism, and international cooperation.

Research on Development Strategies for the Remanufacturing of China’s Oil and Gas Pipelines
The Research Group for the Research on China’s Development Strategy for Oil and Gas Pipeline Remanufacturing
Strategic Study of CAE 2017, Volume 19, Issue 3, Pages 66-71 doi: 10.15302/J-SSCAE-2017.03.010
Although they are an important means of prospecting, exploiting, and transporting oil and gas, many oil and gas pipelines have largely been abandoned due to tubing failure caused by corrosion, wear and tear, and scaling. Pipelines are piling up in oilfields, resulting in an enormous waste of resources, as well as environmental pollution. This paper analyzes the treatment status and existing problems of oil and gas pipelines waste. Using an advanced remanufacturing technology, it demonstrates the economic, social, and environmental benefits of remanufacturing pipelines. In addition, this paper suggests an industrial mode for the remanufacturing of China's oil and gas pipelines, and describes some development proposals to promote independent innovation. These authors present a new concept and new technology that will decrease costs and increase benefits in China's oil and gas industry, achieve the goal of energy conservation and emissions reduction, and promote the construction of a circular economy in the oil and gas industry.

Strategic Study of CAE 2016, Volume 18, Issue 5, Pages 39-45 doi: 10.15302/J-SSCAE-2016.05.006
Rich in natural ecology and historical and cultural resources, the Qinba Mountain Area is one of the most concentrated regions in national preserves, forest park, and geological park. Based on the analysis of issues on the value and the protection and utilization of the Qinba Mountain Area resources, as well as the lessons learned from other countries' experiences in establishing national parks, this paper discusses the necessity and feasibility of establishing a National Central Park in the Qinba Mountain Area, and proposes ideas and suggestions for initiation of such a park in the region to enhance the international influence of the Qinba Mountain Area and mediate the conflict between resource protection and alleviation of poverty.
